Gaslight Art Colony is pleased to present Emily Bennett for the November show, Multiplied Motions! Be sure to register for a chance to win a free children’s class. A coupon to the Main Street Supper Club is also given to everyone who comes to the opening. Multiplied Motions will be opening Saturday, November 17th from 5:00-8:00PM.
Emily Bennett is an artist from Terre Haute, Indiana who creates sculpture using a variety of materials including steel, wood, paper and fiber. She received her BFA from Indiana State University before pursuing her MFA from the Herron School of Art and Design. She has taught as an adjunct professor since her graduation from Herron in 2017 at several colleges including ISU, Herron, and Saint Mary of the Woods College. Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the Midwest in cities including Indianapolis, Bloomington, Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Emily was the recipient of the Suzie Coles Memorial Artists Grant from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, received full funding to attend a residency on Cuttyhunk Island in Gosnold, Massachusetts, and was featured in Fiber Art Now Magazine. She is most proud of her seven month old son, Harrison, and her loving husband Paul who give her endless amounts of inspiration and joy.

Coles County Art Council

Gaslight Art Colony is pleased to present Coles County Art Council for the October show!                     The opening is on Saturday, October 20th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Be sure to register for a chance to win afree children’s class. A coupon to the Main Street Supper Club is also given to everyone who comes to the opening. They were founded May 23, 1984 as the Charleston Area Arts Council by a group of individuals who wanted to promote the arts in the Charleston area. On November18, 1994, the name of the group was changed to Coles County Arts Council due to growth.This show will feature a myriad of art by members of the Coles County Art Council.

Gaslight Art Colony is pleased to offer a variety of classes in November and December. The classes include a variety of Art Forms such as; Painting,
Chalk & Stencil, Wire Star Ornaments and Ceramics.

There are classes for all ages K-2 grade, 3-6 grade, Jr. High and Adult classes
