Where ever my husband and I travel we’re sure to have our cameras at the ready, capturing digitally whatever catches our eye to use as a future art reference. Once I’ve selected my subject matter, I transfer that image onto paper or canvas depending upon my medium of choice (watercolor, acrylic, oil, or pastel). The drawing is the tedious part for me – I can’t wait to get past that stage and start applying color. Each medium has its own challenges but I’m learning something every time I pick up a brush.
I am blessed to have married a man who shares my love of all things art and I truly think that art has enriched my life. I hope my work pays respect to these blessings and I hope you enjoy it.
