Mrs. Hilbert's subject matter is most often a creation of narratives within local scenes but includes some portraits of people and animals. Her mediums include oil, water color, acrylic, charcoal, pencil and most recently pastel. She talks of pastel as a totally captivating medium because of the color that can be produced with it.
Sharon has entered her artwork and won awards in various area contests. She avidly attempts to compel those who are interested in art to just try it as she also is always in a learning state of mind. Sharon resides with her husband Jim in rural West Union.
