Coles County Arts Council Show

Founded in 1984 this all-volunteer group has been working for over 40 years to support local arts and artists while expanding opportunities for community participation in creative activities. CCAC sponsors youth art scholarships, provides grants for local performances and workshops and operates as an umbrella organization for Past Forward Memoir Writers, the East Central Chorale and Charleston Arts CAN (Community Action Network). Many CCAC members are talented artists and craftspeople working in a wide range of media. Member shows bring together painters, potters, jewelry designers, fiber artists, photographers, mixed media artists and others to create an eclectic mix of beautiful and interesting work. This year’s theme, “Visions and Revisions”, celebrates the transformative power of the creative gaze and we look forward to seeing what our members have been looking at, imagining.
